The first annual player identification camp in British Columbia will be held this May. The camp is focused at showcasing young football players in British Columbia to Canadian Intercollegiate School and Junior programs.
This is first camp of its kind in British Columbia however camps alike are run every year along the east coast of Canada and the US, as well as in the prairies. Many young players are identified through these camps.
WCIC will be run by professionals from the CFL and NFL and will play host to coaches from CIS schools and Junior programs. University of Alberta, University of Manitoba, UBC, SFU, Langley Rams and other post secondary schools and programs. Players will have an opportunity to showcase their skills and athletic ability in this camp in front of top Canadian coaches.
The two day event will test the players’ athletic ability and football skills in one on ones and team play. The camp will be filmed and parents are encouraged to attend on the outside of the field and film the players’ workout.
All test scores will be recorded, accredited and e-mailed to the players and available to the coaches.
Cost of the camp is $55.00 per player and must apply prior to April 28, 2012. The camp is limited to 140 players.

The camp is targeted to players aged 15 – 19 who are serious about their futures in football and plan on moving on beyond the community and high school level.
Players will be grouped by age and position and given an identification number at sign in which they will keep throughout the entire camp.
