BC Lions Play with the Pros

One of the BC Lions’ most popular and recognizable community programs, Play with the Pros is an annual free initiative that involves Lions players teaching boys and girls the basics of football by having them participate in a non-contact skills clinic.

With the support of Football BC, the governing body for amateur football in British Columbia, the Play with the Pros program involved more than 1,500 youth between the ages of 6 and 12 during the 2013 season.  This past fall, many of the Lions’ most prominent players participated in community football practices throughout the lower mainland.

New in 2014, the BC Lions’ Huddle Up Against Bullying program will focus on delivering anti-bullying messaging to kids ages 6 to 13 through our very popular amateur football programs, such as Play with the Pros. The program’s founding partners are C&D Logistics, Intact Insurance, Uniglobe and the Province of British Columbia.

Our most recent Play with the Pros session took place on Sunday, June 8th at Hillside Stadium in Kamloops.

Our next Play with the Pros session will be on Sunday, July 6th at the BC Lions training facility in Surrey. Register HERE.
